Champions
Artist book for Max Manavi-Huber
About
Team
In February 2022, photographer Max Manavi-Huber traveled to Iten, Kenya to explore one of the world’s most successful running cultures. The images in this book capture the humble & unfiltered way of life in this countryside of East Africa, where an inherited rawness, purity & allegiance to the sport of running continues to cultivate history-making champions. For the book launch, curated photographs from the project adorned the spaces of HOVN Studios in Vienna. The exhibition was complemented by a branded store window, along with the distribution of handouts, stickers, and an exclusive artist box, enhancing the overall experience for attendees. In 2024, the book release held an event in Paris, hosted by DISTANCE.
